The theme for ITK2025 has been decided: "Much new, a little old, something borrowed."
Now is the time to plan your presentation for the ITK2025 conference, which will take place from April 23 to 25, 2025, at Tampere Hall. Include a suitable partner in your planning process, such as an educational institution or another organization from the working world.
The ITK2025 webinars will continue on September 24, October 1, October 8, October 15, October 22, and October 29, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Join us!
As an example, the webinar on October 1 will feature the presentation of Helsinki’s mobile Kontti, a unit where real students test educational materials developed by companies and provide feedback for further development. The students' experiences, suggestions, and feedback will contribute to product development.
Students have found it exciting to participate in the development of new products and innovations. "It’s a bit thrilling, and it feels great to be among the first to try out new inventions. The atmosphere in the testing container is different and fun," said one 5th-grade student. The students also mentioned that they enjoyed meeting new adults in the container and listening to an English-speaking guest, learning new English words. They have confidently shared their opinions on the products and innovations being developed.
Kontti will also be featured at ITK2025 in Tampere Hall. I encourage you to attend the October 1 webinar at 2:00 PM, where the testing opportunities will be discussed in more detail.
On September 24, a proposal form will be available on the Call for Papers page, allowing you to begin drafting your presentation proposal with your partner. The form is versatile, so proposals can be collaboratively developed, even from different locations. One person will be designated as responsible for ensuring the proposal is completed on time. Save your draft and finalize it by the end of October. Incomplete proposals will not be submitted for ITK review. Proposals will be evaluated in November, and feedback will be provided by the reviewers.
